The camera cuts to Bob Simmons who is standing in the center of the ring
Bob Simmons: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall… introducing first… from parts unknown… he is the HWS World Champion… Oblivion.
The lights go dim, the sound of an organ fills the arena. After a few seconds the arena turns dark and the organ music stops. Suddenly "Duality" by Slipknot blares over the speakers.
I Push my fingers into my eyes...
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache...
But it's made of all the things I am today...
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside...
If the pain goes on...
Aaaaaaaah!
Oblivion steps out onto the stage with his World Championship belt draped over his shoulder. He walks out to the beginning of the ramp and looks around the dark arena engulfing all of the crowds boos
I have screamed until my veins collapsed
I've waited last, my time's elapsed
Now, All I do is live with so much fate
I've wished for this, I've bitched at that
I've left behind this little fact:
You cannot kill what you did not create
I've gotta say what I've gotta say
And then I swear I'll go away
But I can't promise you'll enjoy the words
I guess I'll save the best for last
My future seems like on big past
You'll live with me 'cause you left me no choice
The lights turn on but stay very dim as Oblivion begins his slow ascension towards the ring. He stops right when he reaches the ring and pulls his belt off of his shoulder and holds it with his right hand as he reaches up with his left and pulls himself up onto the ring.
I push my fingers into my eyes
It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
If the pain goes on,
I'm not gonna make it!
Oblivion steps over the top rope then walks over to the ring rope closest to the camera and stands in front of it for a few seconds before he grips the belt with both hands and raises it high above his head.
Pull me back together
Our seperate the skin from the bone
Leave me all the Pieces, and then you can leave me
alone
Tell me the reality is better than dream
But I found out the hard way,
Nothing is what it seems!
Oblivion drops the belt back down across his shoulder and waits for his opponent as "Duality" slowly quiets down to silence.
John Prior: Here is our world champ… but you gotta wonder how well him and Cryptid will get along here tonight.
Mike McCardle: neither man sounded like they had harsh feelings towards each other…
Oblivion stands near the ropes closest to the camera when without warning Cryptid drops down from the rafters directly behind him. The crowd goes crazy as Cryptid walks up behind Oblivion who whips around startled by the sudden appearance of his partner.
John Prior: Mind games already?
Mike McCardle: Well March Madness is right around the corner…
Atreyu”Becoming the Bull” hits as Kevin and Mark jog onto the stage. Raising their hands as crown boo's. They then slowly walk to the ring talking smack to the crowd. The hop in the ring and jump on the turnbuckle raising their hands. They jump on the other one and wait for the match to begin.
Oblivion and Cryptid stand toe to toe exchanging words as a ref enters the ring and motions for the bell. Kevin and Mark waste no time immediately charging at the two arguing men. Kevin begins unloading rights onto Cryptid while Mark hits a few knife edge chops right into Oblivion’s chest. Cryptid ducks a punch from Kevin and quickly drops him with a drop toe hold. In another corner Oblivion ducks a clothesline before he his a close fisted uppercut that snaps Mark’s head back.
Kevin rolls out of the ring and begins a slow walk. But he doesn’t get much time to catch his breath before Cryptid jumps out of the ring after him Cryptid grabs Kevin by the hair and lifts a knee into his gut. Cryptid retains his grip as he drags Kevin over to the ring steps. He lifts up Kevin’s head and brings it down… but Kevin uses his arms to prevent to blow from happening before he drives a quick elbow into Cryptid’s gut before he grabs Cryptid’s head and slams it down across the ring steps. The ref leans through the ropes and yells at Kevin to get into his corner. Kevin boots Cryptid one more time before he jumps up onto the apron and walks to his corner. Cryptid slowly makes it to his feet and makes it to his corner.
Meanwhile in the ring Oblivion and Mark are still trading blows. Mark bounces off the ropes to gain momentum. He dives with a lariat… which Oblivion ducks. Mark bounces off the other ropes and Oblivion raises his foot for a big boot… but Mark ducks it and bounces off the ropes again. Oblivion attempts a clothesline which Mark ducks right before he flips around and hooks in a sleeper hold.
John Prior: Oh the sleeper hold! We could see Oblivion fade right here!
Oblivion flails his arms but he slows as the blood flow is being cut off. He slowly lowers to the ground as Mark retains his vertical base and continues to apply pressure. Oblivion falls to his kness and his arms fall to his sides. The ref raises up his left arm… Then drops it… but Oblivion manages to hold it up. Oblivion grabs Mark’s elbow with both of his hands as he slowly overpowers him. He pulls Mark off of him and flips around. But Mark boots him in the gut and bounces off the ropes… and runs right into a big boot from Oblivion. Oblivion stretches his neck to get the blood flowing again before he scoops up Mark and slams him down again
Mike McCardle: A quick scoopslam… and it looks as though the momentum of this match has shifted
Oblivion walks over to his corner and stares at Cryptid for a moment before he violently slaps him in the shoulder. The ref motions that the tag was made.
John Prior: Harsh tag there… I cant see these two combustible elements getting along for very long.
Cryptid exchanges some harsh words before he jumps into the ring. He pulls up Mark and spikes him with a ddt, without breaking eye contact with Oblivion the entire time. Cryptid climbs up to the top turnbuckle in his corner. He looks ready to dive off with an elbow drop but he stops when Oblivion yells something at him. He then points at Oblivion and says something before he leaps off with an elbow drop. Which Mark rolls out of way and Cryptid drops down hard onto the mat. Cryptid grips his elbow in pain as Mark leaps into his corner and tags in Kevin. Kevin wastes no time as he runs directly to Cryptid and begins to stomp on Cryptid’s elbow.
John Prior: Now there is some true wrestling… noticing an injury and going straight after it.
Mike McCardle: Keep in mind that this match might’ve been over if Oblivion hadn’t distracted Cryptid
John Prior: This isn’t a business of “might” and “what ifs”… this is HWS!
Kevin drops down and hooks in an arm bar. He uses his legs to push back in order to apply more pressure. Cryptid cries out in pain and he desperately reaches for the ropes. To prevent the rope break, Kevin flips on Cryptid’s back and hooks in a camel clutch, occasionally uses his right hand to bash on Cryptid’s elbow. Cryptid tries to use his legs to push himself but to no avail. He uses both of his arms to hook Kevin’s legs and trip him backwards. Cryptid uses his good left arm to pull himself over to his corner. But Kevin grabs a leg and pulls him back into his own territory. Kevin holds out his arm and claps Mark’s. Kevin holds Cryptid still while Mark jumps up to the top rope and drops down with a leg drop right onto Cryptid’s elbow.
Mike McCardle: wow I think Cryptid might be really hurt now!
Kevin leaves the ring as Mark hooks a leg…1...2...kickout!
Mark lifts up Cryptid and hooks his head before he drops to the mat with a ddt… but Cryptid grabbed the rope with his left arm to prevent his fall. Cryptid thrusts his elbow at Kevin who is standing on the apron and connects with his jaw, sending Kevin down to the floor.
John Prior: There is still some fight in him!
Cryptid walks towards his own corner to tag in Oblivion… but he is tripped by Mark. Mark grabs Cryptid by a leg but Cryptid rolls onto his back and uses both of his legs to slam Mark back into his corners turnbuckle. Cryptid climb to his feet and leaps towards his corner with his hand outstretched… but Oblivion pulls his hand away and lets Cryptid hit the mat. Cryptid has a mixed look of pain and anger on his face as he slowly climbs to his knees to slap Oblivion on the shoulder. Oblivion reluctantly climbs into the ring but he doesn’t have much time as Mark is right on top of his unloading punches. Oblivion uses his right hand to push him back giving him enough time to fully get into the ring. Mark charges again but he is met with a clothesline that shot him straight down to the mat.
Oblivion pulls Mark up and grabs him by the throat and glares directly at Cryptid… but he wastes too much time as Mark lifts a knee into Oblivion’s gut causing him to lose his grip before he bounces back on the ropes and comes back… but he is caught by Oblivion and dropped with a vicious standing spinebuster. Oblivion pulls Mark back up to his feet before he lifts him up with a vertical suplex… but Mark wiggles lose and lands on his feet behind Oblivion before he quickly hits a dropkick right into the back of Oblivion’s knees. Oblivion is kneeling down as Mark stumbles to his corner and tags in Kevin. But Mark is unable to leave the ring before Oblivion grabs him and lifts him onto his shoulders.
Mike McCardle: Here it is… the Darkness Spike!
Before Oblivion can land his finisher he is struck in the back with a chair shot from Kevin. Oblivion falls back to his knees and drops Mark. Kevin walks in front of Oblivion and raises up the chair for a knockout blow. But Oblivion punches the chair right into his face. Kevin recoils backwards as Oblivion wobbles back up to his feet. He grabs Kevin by the throat. He looks ready to chokeslam him when he notices that Mark is back on his feet. He grips Mark by the throat with his free hand.
John Prior: Can we see a double chokeslam here tonight?
Both men elbow Oblivion on either side of his head causing him to lose his grip. The bounce off ropes and connect with a double clothesline sending Oblivion down to the mat. Mark leaves the ring as Kevin waits for Oblivion to make it to his knees before he hooks both of his arms and drops him with a ddt… Kevin hooks a leg…1...2... Kickout!
Kevin has an astonished look on his face as he contemplates on what to do next. He pulls Oblivion up to his feet and attempts another ddt… but Oblivion pulls out of it… Kevin charges at Oblivion who lifts him up onto his shoulders before dropping down in a Samoan drop. Oblivion hooks both legs…1...2...kickout!
Oblivion pulls Kevin up to his feet and irish whips him. Oblivion tries ramming him with a shoulder but Kevin spins around him and counters with an irish whip of his own. Oblivion dives against the ropes and Cryptid slaps him in the back with a blind tag. Oblivion and Kevin have the same idea as they both clothesline each other. Both men fall to the ground side by side.
John Prior: Oh my god I think they both just killed each other!
Mike McCardle: I think we all know what Cryptid is thinking!
Cryptid jumps up to the top rope and dives off
Mike McCardle: CRYPTID SPLASH!!!!!
Kevin rolls out of the way and Cryptid connects awkwardly on Oblivion. Oblivion rolls onto his side gripping his stomach in pain as Kevin leaps into his corner and tags in Mark. Cryptid ignores Oblivion and quickly gets up just in time to begin exchanging blows with Mark. Each throw a punch then take a punch before Cryptid blocks and unloads with three straight rights, but he doesn’t keep the advantage for very long because Kevin is back up and both men begin to unload punches. They both wrap an arm around Cryptid’s chest and they look as though they are going to double rock bottom him… but Cryptid swings both of elbows outwards and connects with both men’s cheeks. They release their grip and Cryptid begins to unload straight jabs right into both men’s jaws. He is abruptly stopped though and twirled around by Oblivion who then lifts him up onto his back.
Mike McCardle: What the hell is he doing?
John Prior: getting revenge and making a statement
Oblivion drops down Cryptid with the Darkness Spike (Fireman’s Carry DDT) Kevin and Mark have a look of confusion on their faces as Oblivion steps out of the ring and grabs his title before he begins his ascension up the ramp and into the back. Kevin wastes no time as he quickly drops and hooks a leg…1...2...3!
Bob Simmons: The winner of this contest by pinfall… The Untouchables!
Cryptid rolls out of the ring as the ref hands Kevin and Mark the tag team titles. They stand in the center of the ring and raise their belts up high.
